Join us as an RF Engineer shaping innovative products with expertise in RF systems and design.
Sepura Ltd – RF Engineer
Sepura develops mission‑critical TETRA/LTE radios (sub‑6 GHz), cellular, BT, Wi‑Fi, GNSS, NFC and other communication systems. We design from market requirements to customer delivery in Cambridge, UK, and manufacture in Europe to serve police, fire, ambulance services, mining, and industrial customers worldwide.
We are a global leader in the design and supply of innovative communications solutions across multiple market segments, including emergency services. Our focus is the transition from TETRA to LTE ESN services and the development of complex vehicle‑based and handheld radios with extensive support accessories.
Role Overview
The role is a product development and maintenance position that includes:
- Technical requirements analysis, design down to the discrete level and specification of RF circuitry, including component specification, evaluation, and sourcing.
- Complete subsystem design, implementation and validation through to approved product.
- Schematic creation and PCB layout supervision.
- Integration with Digital, Audio, and MMI subsystems.
- Definition and documentation of test procedures.
- Root‑cause analysis of failures and updates to design to resolve faults.
- Type approval support to ensure compliance.
- Collaboration with all relevant departments to deliver high‑quality engineering solutions.
- Support for defining/creating new products where required.
This role may require some travel; a full, clean driving licence, own car, and a valid passport are required. Travel expenses will be covered.
