Role Overview
This is an opportunity for someone with an eye for detail and a love of data to take on an important, varied, and interesting role with responsibilities including managing our school management information system, examinations & student assessment processes and data administration.
The successful candidate will oversee the Data and Exams team providing strategic management support to establish effective school data and exam practices. You will be responsible for managing effective and efficient administration of internal and external exams in accordance with awarding body rules for exam administration in a secure and consistent manner. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the planning, development, design, organisation and monitoring of data and whole school systems, procedures and policies related to these.
You will work with staff at all levels to ensure that data held within the MIS is shared and synchronised with other web-based applications to ensure consistency and clarity of data. You will also play a vital role in working with the Senior Leader responsible for Timetable and Curriculum to support the timetabling team and the overall curriculum management process in setting up and maintaining the academy timetable and managing in year changes. A core purpose of this role will be to support the Exams Officer in ensuring that all procedures and routines relating to examinations are in place and ensure that the academy provides the best possible examination experiences to enhance progress.
Experience of school MIS (the academy uses Arbor) is essential for this role, if you also have experience of exam management then even better! Full detail of the role can be found on the job description.
The role is based on working 37 hours per week for 42 working weeks per year – term time and development days, plus 15 days in school holidays.
