Location: Whitefield, Manchester – (site based moving to 4 days a week on site)
A well-established manufacturing business is looking to recruit an experienced IT Support Technician to join its growing IT team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and customer-focused IT professional with at least 2 years’ experience, ideally gained within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
What will you be doing?
- Deliver 1st and 2nd line IT support to office, warehouse, factory and remote users.
- Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, IP phones and mobile devices.
- Take ownership of helpdesk tickets, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and to a high standard.
- Support the delivery of key IT projects across the business.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum 2 years’ IT support experience.
- Windows 11.
- Microsoft Intune, Azure and Microsoft 365.
- Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP and DNS.
- Network infrastructure including switches, VLANs, Wi-Fi and VPNs.
- iOS and Android device management.
- Experience with ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus or a similar ITSM/helpdesk platform.
- HCL Notes/Domino.
- Windows Server 2019 and later
- Endpoint security deployment and management.
- VMware and Hyper-V.
- MacOS.
The role is predominantly site-based across two Greater Manchester locations in Whitefield and Oldham, so a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
This role would suit someone who enjoys a varied, hands-on IT environment, thrives on solving technical challenges, and is keen to play a key role in supporting a busy, fast-paced business.
