Overview
We’re looking for experienced Chefs to join our Buffets team at Butlin’s Skegness. This role requires solid experience working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume kitchen and a commitment to delivering consistent, high‑quality food.
As a Production Chef, you will work closely with the Junior Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operation of your section, ensuring efficiency, great standards, and full compliance with food safety policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Buffets kitchen team, helping Commis Chefs to grow through training, mentoring, and support.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, setting the standard for hygiene and safety.
- Ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely, managing time, workflow, and staffing during all shifts.
- Manage margins, control costs, and maintain excellent hygiene, health and safety practices.
- Deliver consistent, high‑quality food and uphold the excellent standards expected by our guests.
Requirements
- Proven kitchen experience at a similar level in a busy, high‑volume environment.
- Strong ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment with a genuine commitment to high standards.
- Level 3 Food Safety qualification.
- Experience managing margins and controlling costs.
- A fun, team‑spirited attitude and a passion for creating memorable experiences for every guest.
Working Hours & Conditions
This is a full‑time permanent role, 35 hours per week. You will work five days over seven, including weekends. Breakfast shifts run 4 am–12 pm, and dinner shifts 11 am–7:30 pm. Flexibility is essential. The position is paid fortnightly. Live‑in accommodation may be available for candidates over 18 relocating to the area (subject to DBS).
Apprenticeship Opportunity
