About Soiltechnics

Soiltechnics is a UK‑based geoenvironmental and geotechnical engineering consultancy. We work on a wide variety of projects across the country, helping clients understand the ground beneath their sites and deliver safe, sustainable developments. We’re passionate about developing young talent and supporting people at the very start of their careers.

Our Fieldwork Team supports both Ground Investigation and Structural Fabric operations. Projects vary from rural greenfield sites to complex demolition projects in central London. The role may involve working in confined spaces or at height (e.g. scaffolding or scissor lifts), so a strong commitment to safety is essential.

How you’ll work

  • Primarily site based (approximately 90%)
  • Time spent in the Northampton office for equipment preparation, logistics, maintenance and training.
  • Travel to sites across the UK (company vehicles provided)

What We’re Looking For

  • Comfortable working outdoors in varied environments
  • A strong team player with the ability to take initiative
  • Methodical, adaptable and proactive in problem‑solving
  • Good communication skills and positive attitude
  • A willingness to undertake physical, hands on work

You’ll typically need one of the following:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade 4 or above), including Maths and English.
  • A-Level, Level 3 BTEC or equivalent qualification (or working toward)
  • Basic IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • UK Driving License or working towards it

Don’t worry if your qualifications don’t quite match – there’s flexibility, and we’re happy to discuss opportunities. Any relevant work experience, interests or extra qualifications are welcome.

What’s in it for you?

  • Starting from £23k plus site pay and expenses.
  • Basic 40‑hour working week
  • Paid travel and expenses
  • Discounted gym membership
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
