What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the delivery of all hard FM and engineering services across the Shell Centre estate.
- Provide strategic leadership across planned, reactive and project‑related activities.
- Drive technical compliance, governance and statutory obligations.
- Lead and develop multidisciplinary technical teams and specialist functions.
- Shape long‑term asset management and lifecycle strategies.
- Influence capital planning and investment decisions.
- Drive engineering optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Implement digital technologies, predictive maintenance and data‑led maintenance strategies.
- Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and key decision makers.
- Champion innovation and create a high‑performing engineering culture.
- Work collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors and delivery partners to minimise business disruption and deliver exceptional outcomes.
- Ensure all technical services are delivered safely, compliantly and cost‑effectively.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for an exceptional engineering leader who combines technical expertise, commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
- A recognised Engineering qualification and professional engineering background.
- Significant experience leading technical services within complex, critical or high‑profile environments.
- Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, engineering governance and technical risk management.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing specialist subcontractors.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Commercial awareness, including budget management and contract performance.
- Experience developing asset management and reliability strategies.
- A passion for continuous improvement, innovation and engineering excellence.
- The ability to lead change and embed new ways of working.
Professional Accreditations
Professional accreditation such as CEng, IEng, MIET, MCIBSE or equivalent would be advantageous.
