Shift Manager – Data Centre (Slough)

We are currently looking for a Shift Manager for a critical data centre environment in Slough. In this hands‑on leadership role, you’ll be responsible for managing a shift team, overseeing planned and reactive maintenance, driving safety compliance, and ensuring maximum uptime across a business‑critical environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading and coordinating shift engineering teams
• Managing planned and reactive maintenance activities
• Acting as an HV Authorised Person
• Overseeing Permit to Work, RAMS, and safe systems of work
• Responding to critical incidents and system faults
• Managing subcontractors and ensuring compliance
• Supporting engineer development, training, and performance
• Maintaining statutory compliance and service excellence

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience in a Data Centre, Critical Environment, or Mission‑Critical Facility
• HV Authorisation essential
• Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline
• Current Wiring Regulations qualification
• Strong knowledge of BMS, PMS, Fire & Critical Building Systems
• Experience leading teams in high‑pressure environments
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills
• PASMA, IPAF and First Aid qualifications desirable
