We are recruiting 1‑1 Teaching Assistants for North Liverpool primary schools. Part‑time, full‑time, short‑term and long‑term positions are available, starting in September 2026, with daily rates up to £105.
Responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one support for pupils with additional needs.
- Assist a child in class under the direction of the teacher, focusing on designated tasks during lessons, play, and outside classroom activities.
- Support learning activities and work with the individual, helping to implement and monitor progress of individual education programmes.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and the wider support team.
- Implement consistent routines and tailored intervention plans.
- Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Personal Qualities
- Experience supporting children with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or similar needs.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and able to work well within a team.
- Calm, patient, proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- Passion for making a difference in children’s lives.
- Previous experience in a school or child‑centred setting.
Qualifications
- Experience in a similar role.
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks.
- CV covering the last 10 years of employment history (where possible).
- Legal right to work in the UK.
