Software Engineer (PLC)

Salary: £55,000 – 65,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for a seasoned software engineer with experience in developing, modifying and optimising industrial automation systems.
• We require hands‑on experience with PLC programming.
• We would ideally like experience or understanding of robotics automation technology such as ABB or Omron.
• We need someone with a strong background in troubleshooting and resolving automation and control system issues remotely and on customer sites.
• We require the ability to support testing of automated machinery.
• You must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel across various UK sites.
• Knowledge of SCADA or HMI development is desirable.
• Exposure to industrial networks is desirable.

Responsibilities

• We develop, modify and optimise industrial automation systems.
• We troubleshoot and resolve automation and control system issues remotely and on customer sites.
• We support the testing of automated machinery.
• We travel across various UK sites as part of the role.
