Responsibilities
The Senior Brokerage Officer will lead a team of Brokerage Officers who directly broker services to find the right care and support solutions for people as part of the brokerage process. They will be aligned to a portfolio area (Transitions, Working Age Adults or Older Adults) and will work closely with the Adult Social Care and Health Directorate’s Commissioning Team, social care assessment staff, NHS colleagues and care providers. Duties include arranging, coordinating, negotiating and brokering packages, placements and supporting social care services in response to identified needs. The role involves developing and supporting a small team of Brokerage Officers, shaping and developing portfolio expertise, and putting in place streamlined and effective brokerage processes.
Qualifications
We are particularly interested in candidates with a background in children’s or young adults’ service provision, social care, brokerage or placement finding experience; we also welcome applications from people with adult social care experience.
Eligibility to work in the UK will be verified in the final stages of the selection process. All candidates must either already have a right to work in the UK before commencing employment or meet the Home Office criteria for visa sponsorship.
