Salary: £80,000 – 90,000 per year

Requirements

  • Hands‑on and practical experience building machine learning models and making them usable
  • Ability to think quantitatively and statistically, not just in terms of tools
  • Comfortable working across data, models, and production systems
  • Ability to clearly explain our work and translate complex ideas into simple insights
  • Strong Python skills, with the ability to write clean, production‑quality code
  • Solid grounding in statistics
  • Experience with machine learning, including classical models and some modern NLP approaches
  • Experience building models that are used in production
  • Comfortable working with real‑world, messy datasets
  • Familiarity with data pipelines, deployment, and maintaining ML systems
  • Experience with NLP / text modelling, such as classification, embeddings, or transformers
  • Exposure to finance, economics, or risk‑related data

Responsibilities

  • Build and deploy machine learning models used in real‑world applications
  • Work with both structured data and text (NLP) to generate insights
  • Design and maintain data pipelines and production‑ready systems
  • Apply statistical methods to evaluate models and ensure reliability
  • Collaborate with domain experts to solve complex analytical problems
  • Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
