Design Engineer

Role: Design Engineer – Routing Looms & Harnesses

Location: Peterlee (site based)

Duration: 12-month contract (likely to extend)

Rate: £39/hour Umbrella (Inside IR35) or £28.50 PAYE

Shift: Monday – Thursday: 7:30am to 4pm. Friday early finish at 12pm

Design Engineer role focused on determining the routing of wiring looms within vehicles. While the looms themselves are designed by the electrical engineering team, this role is responsible for defining and drafting routing and placement throughout the vehicle. You will work on new product design, major vehicle updates, and ongoing maintenance of complex systems.

Requirements:

• Creo and PLM Software (preferably Teamcenter)
• Project leadership within engineering/design.
• Proven experience delivering design projects end-to-end.
• Strong technical capability in mechanical electrical integration.
