Pay & Hours

  • Pay rate: £13.70 per hour, plus a £2.00 per hour Bank Holiday enhancement rate
  • Travel time paid at £12.71 per hour, plus 40p per mile mileage allowance
  • Hours: Full & Part Time
  • Shift: 07:00 to 14:00 & 16:00 to 22:00

About The Role

Care South, a leading not for profit charity, have exciting opportunities for Home Care Assistants to join our Bournemouth Care at Home team, supporting clients with a variety of needs in their own homes.

This Home Care Assistant role is community based, and it is essential applicants hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle. As a Home Care Assistant with Care South, we ensure you are paid not just your contact time, but also for your travel time. On top of this we pay a generous mileage rate of 40p per mile.

  • Responsible for the needs of clients and ensuring their dignity
  • Help with personal care such as personal hygiene, toileting, and dressing

About You

  • Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not required
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Flexible in the hours you can work and ability to work every other weekend
  • Strong attention to detail and reporting skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or prepared to undertake one
