Job Description

The Protective Intelligence Team Lead is a role within the Risk Intelligence Center (RIC). The role is responsible for leading a team of Intelligence Analysts to deliver advisory intelligence products and services to Securitas and its customers. The role is suited to someone with 3‑5 years’ experience in intelligence and/or investigations; previous operations experience is essential, and while people management is not essential it is advantageous.

The primary focus of the Protective Intelligence Team Lead is to lead and be responsible for the collection, processing, analysis of data and information, producing intelligence products and services, and disseminating these to customers internally and commercially. The role reports directly to the Protective Intelligence Manager and requires strong research, analytical, and report‑writing skills, people management, and proficiency in IT systems including Microsoft Office and specific intelligence tools. Working within a dynamic environment requires flexibility and agility, including mobilising on short notice and travelling to customers and industry events. The role is a 4‑on‑4‑off shift pattern, days 0700‑1900 hrs, with potential travel. Responsibilities will evolve over time with opportunities for ongoing development and progression.

Responsibilities

  • Direction of intelligence efforts based on instruction from RIC leadership, colleagues, account teams, and clients, and own initiative.
  • Collection of data and information, including use of intelligence tools, manual processes, and research.
  • Processing intelligence into databases, forms, logs, systems, templates, etc.
  • Analysis of data using recognised intelligence techniques and supporting seniors with complex efforts.
  • Production of finished intelligence products autonomously or with support—including alerts, assessments, reports, investigations, written products and verbal presentations.
  • Dissemination of intelligence products to stakeholders, internally within Securitas and commercially to customers in the UK and overseas.
  • Evaluation and feedback of intelligence services, maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Management of a team of Intelligence Analysts.
  • Support senior management and guide junior colleagues to maximise development, efficiency, and morale.
  • Identify and develop new research sources and methods to keep products at latest methodologies and best practice.
  • Maintain awareness of innovation in intelligence to implement latest techniques and tactics, best practice, and information.
  • Be a role model in the RIC.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Securitas organisation, client‑facing staff and Protective colleagues.
  • Work closely with other internal stakeholders, being willing to challenge the status‑quo.
  • Liaise and collaborate with internal and external agencies to build an intelligence network.
  • Demonstrate understanding and engagement with Securitas Core Values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness, recognising risk, and considering safety as a priority, complying with policies, procedures and training.

Qualifications

  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English to deliver intelligence reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to listen and communicate research clearly.
  • Excellent time‑management skills.
  • Five‑year checkable employment history or documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self‑employment or part‑time education.
