Senior Software Engineer I – Stream Processing – Kafka & Flink

About the Role

We are looking for a senior software engineer with a background in stream processing. Our Stream Processing team is part of the Data Squad and works on a platform that processes transfers in real time, powering validation, fraud detection, and anti‑money laundering checks. The role also involves supporting data movement into our data lake to enable product teams and analysts to make data‑driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, implement and operate systems on AWS.
• Help product engineers use our tooling and systems, laying down best practices and rules.
• Build and support tooling to create pipelines used for real‑time decision making in the milliseconds range.
• Continuously iterate on services, focusing on availability, security and ease of use.

Qualifications

• Experience with Flink and/or Kafka Streams.
• Experience building production code with Java and Spring.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools.
• Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale.

Benefits
