Electricity Distribution – Network Planner
We are currently recruiting for two Grade 4 Network Planners to join us at our Telford depot. This will be for a period of up to 12 months (subject to review). Planners design our network and work with our Engineers to construct, reinforce, alter, and replace our equipment. If you join us, our customers will trust you to provide excellent service and minimise outages.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver new services, alterations, and small capital projects.
- Carry out on‑site meetings.
- Work with wayleaves/estates specialists to obtain third‑party agreements for NGED assets.
- Financially review and close projects.
- Communicate with customers effectively to manage expectations and resolve queries.
- Schedule contracted works.
- Communicate with local authorities and external stakeholders.
Essential skills & qualifications
- English and Maths GCSE at Grade C/Level 4 minimum or Functional Skills Level 2 or above.
- Evidence of qualifications before appointment.
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel throughout the area.
- Mobile to undertake standby duties.
- Resilient, organised, able to prioritise workload and manage diary.
- Team player, strong communication skills, able to explain issues simply.
- Experience using iPads and computers.
- Willingness to undertake Level 2 City & Guilds 2339 and TAR training where required.
