Senior DevOps Engineer – Cloud Platform & Site ReliabilityLocation: Nottingham or London, UKTeam: LSEG Risk Intelligence Engineering
Are you passionate about building scalable, secure, and resilient platforms that power global Risk Intelligence products? We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help drive innovation, implement modern DevOps practices, and contribute to the evolution of our cloud‑native infrastructure.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Automate full‑stack infrastructure using Terraform and GitLab
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI to enable fast, secure, and reliable software delivery
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes workloads using Amazon EKS and Istio Service Mesh for service discovery, traffic management, and observability
- Implement monitoring and alerting to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with development and business goals
- Continuously improve systems through automation, performance tuning, and process optimisation
- Contribute to our DevOps culture, sharing knowledge and best practices across the team
What You’ll Bring
- Demonstrable AWS and Kubernetes (EKS) expertise
- Hands‑on experience with Terraform, GitLab CI and Bash/Python
- Orchestration and monitoring tools – Istio, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK
- 4+ years in DevOps or Platform Engineering roles
- Proven experience building and operating cloud‑native platforms
- Strong communication, problem‑solving and collaboration skills
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Development experience in a major language (Java, C++, C# etc.)
- AWS certifications and financial services background
