Overview

Somer Valley, Radstock as the main base. Term Time Only. Mon-Thu 8:30 – 17:00 and Fri 8:30-16:30 with an hour unpaid lunch. Part‑time hours may be available. Interview date: TBC. Actual salary for 37 hours per week x 37 weeks per year £22,087.86 – £22,573.30. (£26,262.60 – £26,839.80 – Full Time equivalent salary). Bath College is seeking to appoint dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Staff to join our inclusive and learner-focused support team. Key Responsibilities

  • provide effective support to learners with additional needs in lessons and across the wider college environment
  • promote learner independence, confidence, engagement and achievement
  • enable learners to develop strategies and skills that support participation and long-term success
  • work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams to implement appropriate support approaches
  • contribute to a positive, inclusive and aspirational learning environment
  • support learner wellbeing and uphold safeguarding responsibilities at all times
  • maintain appropriate records and contribute to reviews of learner progress and support arrangements
