Overview
Somer Valley, Radstock as the main base. Term Time Only. Mon-Thu 8:30 – 17:00 and Fri 8:30-16:30 with an hour unpaid lunch. Part‑time hours may be available. Interview date: TBC. Actual salary for 37 hours per week x 37 weeks per year £22,087.86 – £22,573.30. (£26,262.60 – £26,839.80 – Full Time equivalent salary). Bath College is seeking to appoint dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Staff to join our inclusive and learner-focused support team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are committed to enabling learners with additional needs to access education successfully, develop independence and achieve their personal and academic goals. The role is both rewarding and developmental, offering the chance to make a meaningful contribution to learners’ progress, participation and longer-term outcomes within a college environment.
Key Responsibilities
- provide effective support to learners with additional needs in lessons and across the wider college environment
- promote learner independence, confidence, engagement and achievement
- enable learners to develop strategies and skills that support participation and long-term success
- work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams to implement appropriate support approaches
- contribute to a positive, inclusive and aspirational learning environment
- support learner wellbeing and uphold safeguarding responsibilities at all times
- maintain appropriate records and contribute to reviews of learner progress and support arrangements
