About The Role
We are looking for a strategic, evidence‑driven, deeply curious Senior Product Manager to own and elevate the teacher and student experience at the heart of our product. In this role, you will define the vision and roadmap for how teachers and students engage with Up Learn, turning a promising experience into one that is easy, motivating, and impactful for driving grade improvements. You will own the full product discovery and delivery cycle: systematically uncovering the highest‑impact opportunities, testing assumptions rigorously, and ensuring the work moves the needle.
About Us
At Up Learn we combine cognitive science, instructional theory and artificial intelligence to create an adaptive, mastery‑based learning experience. Our mission is to give every learner the most effective path to success, and we aim for a world where every learner achieves more, faster. We are the market‑leading platform for A Levels, with seven courses and a rapidly growing student base. Our rigorous evaluation shows high academic performance and significant progress gains for learners.
About You
You are a rigorous, evidence‑driven product thinker who explores multiple problems and solutions before committing to a direction, takes full ownership of outcomes, and collaborates with stakeholders to build better products. You are excited by AI as a tool to improve work, and you thrive in the ambiguity and pace of a rapidly scaling company.
What You’ll Do In the First 6 Months
- Define vision and roadmap. Own the product vision and roadmap grounded in evidence and secure buy‑in from leadership.
- Run product discovery. Systematically explore problems and solutions using user research, experiments, trapdoor tests and PoCs.
- Deliver impact. Ship work that achieves goals, using persuasion when needed and taking hands‑on action otherwise.
- Be data‑fluent. Define and track metrics, develop expertise in available data and use it to make sharper decisions.
- Build deep domain knowledge. Study customers, competitors, and market trends through calls, feedback, interviews and research.
- Help build a better product org. Contribute ideas to improve how the product team works and take ownership of improvements.
- Collaborate across the company. Build relationships with engineering, learning and commercial teams, seeking their expertise early.
- Embrace AI. Experiment with AI to improve product and processes, and stay closely engaged with the evolving space.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of product management experience, with significant senior IC time at a startup or scale‑up.
- Proven track record of owning complex product goals end‑to‑end and delivering measurable impact, not just shipping features.
- Strong discovery skills, hands‑on experience using techniques such as user research, experiments, trapdoor tests and prototypes.
- Excellent strategic thinking, synthesising qualitative and quantitative evidence into clear, long‑term roadmaps.
- Strong analytical skills, defining success metrics and using product analytics and commercial data for prioritisation.
- A natural collaborator who builds trusted relationships across teams and turns stakeholder input into better decisions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to write crisp problem statements and evidence summaries.
- A bias for action and ownership, comfortable doing whatever it takes to get things over the line.
- Actively uses AI tools to improve work and stays engaged with developments in the space.
Benefits
- Awesome colleagues, a high‑impact mission and the opportunity to shape the future of education.
