Full-time | Permanent

£24,000 – £27,000 (DOE)

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Court of Protection Paralegal based in the Spalding office. This role is ideal for someone looking to begin or develop their legal career within the specialist area of Court of Protection work.

Working alongside an experienced team, you will gain valuable hands-on experience supporting clients and assisting with a range of Court of Protection matters. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual who is keen to learn, develop their legal skills and build a long-term career within a respected law firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Court of Protection team on a range of matters.
  • Assist with the preparation of legal documents, correspondence and reports.
  • Support fee earners with day-to-day case management and administration.
  • Maintain accurate client files and records in line with firm procedures.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, professionals and third parties.
  • Assist with applications, forms and documentation relating to Court of Protection matters.
  • Conduct research and provide administrative support as required.
  • Manage incoming correspondence and ensure actions are completed within deadlines.
  • Support the team with general administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of matters.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and organised individual who is passionate about developing a career within the legal sector.

You will have:

  • A strong interest in pursuing a career in law, particularly within Court of Protection work.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to manage workloads and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • A professional, empathetic and client-focused approach.
  • A willingness to learn and develop within a supportive team environment.

Previous legal experience is advantageous but not essential. Applications are welcomed from candidates with administrative experience, recent graduates, or those looking to take their first step into a legal career.
