The team works on supporting clients with complex consenting of projects, notably in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
Responsibilities
- Promote and support clients on Nationally Significant Infrastructure projects.
- Provide advice and strategic support on the compulsory purchase of land rights for energy projects.
- Advise on Environmental Impact and Habitats Assessments related to major projects.
- Draft and negotiate planning and infrastructure agreements.
- Undertake planning appeal work on energy and infrastructure projects, including advocacy at hearings.
- Advise and support clients on judicial reviews in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.
- Undertake tribunal work on compulsory purchase compensation claims.
Qualifications
- Associate level solicitor with experience in development work in the energy and infrastructure sectors, or enthusiasm to further their career in this area.
- Experience in planning matters, preferably on major infrastructure projects.
- Strong client engagement skills and a willingness to build lasting relationships.
- Willingness to work across London and Bristol, based out of the Bristol office.
