General Dynamics Land Systems is on the look‑out for a full‑time Electrical Design Senior Engineer to join our Engineering Team. The successful and inclusive candidate will earn a favourable salary of £45,600 to £57,000 based on experience and potential. Joining an established team based at our Merthyr facility in South Wales, you will work across a range of stakeholders, requiring a holistic approach to Electrical engineering, taking into account factors such as safety, cost and ease of manufacture.
Responsibilities
- Produce electrical design solutions from system to part level.
- Take designs from concept, through development & validation (Cradle to Grave).
- Support prototyping and production teams during FoT fit and through life‑change updates.
- Prepare material for internal and external design reviews.
Requirements
- Proficient user of 3D CAD.
- Proficient user of PDM systems (Windchill).
- Ability to develop conceptual and detail design of mechanical components and systems.
- Work from first principle calculations.
- EBoM management and maintenance.
- Strong mathematical skills, including knowledge of first principle calculations.
- Strong written and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work accurately and at pace.
