MECHANICAL SITE MANAGERPermanent Position

THE ROLE

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of mechanical installation activities on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with programme requirements.

Working closely with Project Managers, Supervisors, Engineers and Subcontractors, you will provide leadership on site and ensure the highest standards of health & safety, quality and client satisfaction are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

The role will involve managing mechanical building services installations within technically demanding environments, often operating directly for the end client.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Day-to-day management of mechanical installation works on site.
  • Coordination of Supervisors, direct labour and subcontractors.
  • Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification.
  • Leading site health & safety activities and maintaining a strong safety culture.
  • Reviewing RAMS, permits and site documentation.
  • Attending client, progress and coordination meetings.
  • Monitoring installation quality and programme performance.
  • Managing labour resources and subcontractor activities.
  • Coordinating material deliveries and site logistics.
  • Supporting commissioning, testing and project handover activities.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
  • Producing site reports and communicating progress to the wider project team.

THE PERSON

Applicants should have a strong background within mechanical building services, MEP contracting, critical infrastructure or specialist engineering environments.

You will possess:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building services installations.
  • Experience managing Supervisors, trades and subcontractors.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong focus on health, safety and quality.
  • Ability to manage programme and labour resources effectively.
  • Experience working within technically complex or live environments.

  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid
  • Relevant Mechanical Building Services qualifications
