The Role

As an Employment Tax Senior Manager, you will be a visible and market‑facing member of the team, working closely with clients across a diverse range of sectors. You will lead complex advisory and compliance engagements while helping to identify and secure new opportunities for growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading employment tax advisory and compliance projects for a varied client portfolio.
  • Building and developing strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Identifying and pursuing business development opportunities, both within existing clients and the wider market.
  • Managing complex consulting assignments, ensuring technical excellence and pragmatic, commercial solutions.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members, encouraging collaboration and professional development.
  • Working closely with partners and senior stakeholders to contribute to the continued expansion of the practice.
  • Keeping abreast of legislative and market developments, sharing insights with clients and colleagues.

About You

You will bring:

  • Significant employment tax experience gained within a professional services firm, legal practice or large corporate environment.
  • Strong technical expertise across key employment tax areas, including expenses and benefits, employment status and IR35, termination payments, CIS, NMW, HMRC audits etc.
  • A demonstrable track record of leading projects and delivering successful client outcomes.
  • Strong business development skills and the ability to identify opportunities to expand client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage at all levels.
  • ATT and/or CTA qualification (or equivalent) preferred.

This role will ideally be based in London however other UK locations will also be considered for the right candidate. Individuals looking to step up from Manager grade will also be considered.
