Senior Software Developer (C#) (Inside IR35 or Fixed Term Contract)

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer to help deliver a range of strategic software projects across business-critical systems.

This is a hands‑on role where you’ll design, build and modernise C# applications, deliver system integrations, reduce technical debt, and support the adoption of AI-assisted development across the team. You’ll take ownership of projects from design through to delivery, working closely with developers and business stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

• Develop and enhance modern C# applications
• Modernise and refactor legacy systems
• Design and implement REST API integrations
• Improve application performance, scalability and maintainability
• Deliver high-quality, well‑tested software
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders
• Mentor developers and promote development best practice
• Support the effective use of AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years’ commercial C# development experience
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles
• Experience modernising legacy applications
• REST API integration experience
• Strong SQL and database design skills
• Full software development lifecycle experience
• Ability to work independently and lead technical delivery
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable

• Azure and cloud technologies
• CI/CD and automated testing
• Logistics, warehousing or fulfilment systems
• EDI integrations
• Microsoft Business Central
• Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code or similar within software development
