Senior Data Scientist

A growing financial services organisation is seeking a Senior or Lead Data Scientist to help drive the next generation of data‑driven decision making across risk, trading, customer analytics, and operational excellence.

This is a high‑impact role where you will work closely with senior stakeholders, data engineers, analysts, and business leaders to develop and deploy advanced machine learning solutions that create measurable business value.

The position offers a hybrid working model, with three days per week in the London office and two days working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and statistical models
• Lead end-to-end data science projects from discovery through production
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI and advanced analytics.
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to best practices across the team
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to build scalable data products
• Present findings and recommendations to technical and non‑technical audiences
• Drive innovation in areas such as predictive modelling, forecasting, optimisation, NLP, and gen‑AI

Senior Data Scientists

• 4+ years’ experience in data science or machine learning
• Strong Python skills and experience with ML frameworks
• Solid understanding of statistics, experimentation, and predictive modelling
• Experience deploying models into production environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Lead Data Scientist

• 7+ years’ experience in data science, including leadership or mentoring responsibilities
• Experience influencing data strategy and roadmap decisions
• Strong stakeholder management at senior leadership level
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive project delivery
