Role Description / Criteria
Aquinas College wishes to employ a suitably experienced and qualified Audio Visual (AV) Technician who will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and daily support of classroom and event‑space AV systems. This position will be a full time, ongoing opportunity. Reporting to the Director of Technology, the preferred candidate will combine their hands‑on technical knowledge of Crestron and Q‑SYS ecosystem with top‑tier customer service to ensure event‑space AV systems and IT projects run seamlessly.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualification and evidence of experience in an AV role
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills to determine root causes of incidents and recommend corrective actions
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with a wide range of customers (students, staff, contractors etc)
- The ability to work successfully within a team
- Experience working in a school setting would be highly regarded (but not essential)
- A current working with children’s check and police check (or be prepared to obtain one)
- A demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children
- Relevant permissions to work in Australia
The successful applicant will be appointed following a salary assessment according to the Catholic Education Multi‑Enterprise Agreement (CEMEA) 2022.
