Electrical Assemblers

Electrical Assemblers x 2 – Temporary with the potential to become permanent – Immediate Start Available.Location: Corby – Northamptonshire, UK.Pay: £14 per hour.Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30‑16:30; Friday 07:30‑13:30.

We are looking for skilled electrical assemblers to join our clients engineering team. If you take pride in high quality workmanship, enjoy working from technical drawings, and want to be part of a company that values precision and innovation, this role will suit you perfectly.

Due to the nature of this position, candidates must be residents of Corby or the local area and possess valid Right to Work documentation, as this is a role with an immediate start.

The Role

• Assemble small components including PLCs, relays, contactors, drives, and terminal blocks into finished products by reading schematics and blueprints.
• Use hand tools and power tools, applying precise manual skills to meet production and quality targets.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
• Build control panels that may contain anywhere from 5 to 100 cables.
• Wire and assemble intricate systems within conveyor machinery.
• Ensure all work meets safety, compliance, and customer specification requirements.
• Maintain workshop housekeeping and adhere to H&S regulations.

Experience and Skills

• Relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, etc.).
• Proven experience as a Control Panel Builder, Electrical Technician, or similar role.
• Experience working in an industrial electrical engineering setting (not residential).
• Strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
• Excellent ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Confidence with panel wiring, cable routing, and component layout.
• Ability to conduct quality inspections, spot visual defects, measure to exact tolerances, and catch failed units.
• Capacity for repetitive concentration; able to work quickly and accurately on repetitive tasks without losing focus.
• Good team player with a positive, proactive attitude toward workload and schedules, and a passion for producing high quality products.
