Level 3 Data Technician Apprentice

Role Overview

Work as part of the Business Processes Team to focus and support activities such as cleaning and analysing large data sets, ensuring data is accurate, error‑free, and secure at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, format, and present data securely and appropriately for analysis.
• Communicate outcomes appropriately to the audience; analyse structured and unstructured data to support the business.
• Blend data from multiple sources and apply legal and ethical principles when manipulating data.
• Interact with a wide range of stakeholders including colleagues, managers, customers and suppliers.
• Collect and process data under guidance of colleagues, managers or team members across the business.
• Develop data collection systems.
• Collect and extract relevant data.
• Clean data and resolve data errors.
• Ensure data accuracy.
• Analyse data, including complex manipulation.
• Carry out quality assurance.
• Visualise data.
• Create data reports and presentations.
• Secure data according to policies and procedures.
• Problem‑solve by identifying trends and anomalies in business data.
• Support other data/business team members in data activities and identifying data for projects.
• Maintain system, involved in central data platform management.

What We’re Looking For

• 5 GCSEs grades 4 to 9 in maths, English, IT or Computer Science.
• Desire to build a career in IT.
• Good written and spoken communication skills.
• Strong willingness to learn new software and coding languages.
