Job Description:

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 between 7am and 9pm. Weekends required on a rota basis.

Salary: Starting from £31,519 per annum + bonus + benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance tasks: basic joinery, plastering, plumbing, electrical repairs, and reactive maintenance to keep buildings safe and well maintained.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance: monitor, respond promptly to safety calls, and adhere to all relevant policies.
  • Deliver excellent customer service: connect with students and colleagues, respond to maintenance requests, and provide support with a positive attitude.
  • Use digital tools: log maintenance issues accurately using PDA apps and complete planned inspections, reporting remedial work to the appropriate engineer.

To Be Successful In This Role

  • Basic technical maintenance skills including joinery, plastering, domestic plumbing, and basic electrical changes with safety focus.
  • Knowledge and adherence to health and safety legislation.
  • Experience in general maintenance and customer‑facing roles.
  • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
