Overview
You’ll be supporting experienced kitchen teams across a variety of event venues, producing high-quality fresh food during conferences, weddings, sporting events, corporate hospitality and large-scale functions. This role is ideal for chefs who enjoy varied kitchens, fast-paced service and flexible working while maintaining high culinary standards.
About the Role
Are you an experienced Chef de Partie or Sous Chef with recent hands‑on experience working in events, conferences, banqueting or high-volume hospitality kitchens? We’re recruiting skilled chefs to support a busy programme of events across Staffordshire during the summer season and beyond. To be considered, you must have recent professional chef experience in a commercial kitchen. Unfortunately, we cannot consider applicants without chef experience.
Responsibilities
Support kitchen teams in delivering fresh, high‑quality food for events. Maintain culinary standards under fast‑paced, flexible working conditions. Coordinate with multiple venues, often in rural locations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ recent professional chef experience
- Experience as a Chef de Partie, Junior Sous Chef, or Sous Chef
- Previous experience in events, conferences & banqueting, hotel or large-volume catering
- Strong fresh‑food cooking skills
- Excellent food hygiene and health & safety knowledge
- Ability to work calmly during busy services
- Reliability with excellent timekeeping
- Own transport highly desirable due to multiple venues and rural locations
Compensation
- Up to £21 per hour
- Weekly pay every Friday
- Paid for every hour worked, including overtime
