Cleaning Assistant Part Time

Overview

We’re looking for Cleaning Assistants to join the Housekeeping Department at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. The role involves cleaning in clinical and non‑clinical areas, maintaining the highest standard of cleanliness, safety, and care across wards and departments.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned areas including wards, offices and public spaces.
• Adhere to Trust policies, procedures, and colour coding for cleaning equipment and materials.
• Ensure safe working practices, take responsibility for cleaning equipment and stock.
• Replenish stock as required and store items securely.
• Conduct periodic floor maintenance, deep clean, and maintain pre‑determined cleaning standards.
• Support prevention and control of infection by maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Follow Housekeeping, Security and Health and Safety guidelines.

Shift Patterns

• 20 hours Mon‑Fri 8pm – 12am (evening shifts, part‑time, early shifts).
• Flexible start and finish times for some shifts.
