Fierté Multi‑Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a reflective, creative and enthusiastic Year Two teaching assistant to join our wonderful new 210‑place free school. The successful candidate will join our mutually supportive team of staff who passionately believe in providing the best education for our children. The successful candidate will be a committed professional capable of providing high quality teaching and support.
Garden Village Academy opened in September 2024; it currently has a Nursery, Reception Year One class but will grow year‑on‑year up to Year 6. We welcome applications from suitably experienced teachers who will work closely with the Headteacher to provide an enriched Year Two learning journey for children in the newly built community.

In addition to fulfilling the Person Specification, the successful candidate will:

- be committed to providing learners with excellent support to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding;
- have high aspirations for every child and strive to ensure that every moment of their learning journey is purposeful, engaging and of the highest standard;
- demonstrate strong skills and experience in supporting Key Stage 1 pupils, including a secure understanding of KS1 curriculum expectations and the ability to effectively support children in preparation for SATs;
- be confident in delivering targeted interventions, providing in‑class support, and helping pupils to develop confidence and independence in reading, writing and mathematics;
- be committed to their own professional learning;
- contribute to the school’s relentless drive to enable limitless possibilities for every child;
- be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people.
The position requires a criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service to ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection regulations. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a self‑declaration of their criminal record and other relevant safeguarding information.
