Software Developer (C++)

Up to £60,000 | DV Clearance Required

We’re recruiting for a Software Developer to join a growing technology organisation specialising in secure software and engineering solutions. You’ll work on technically challenging projects, developing robust software that supports critical services within highly secure environments.

You’ll be part of a collaborative engineering team, helping to deliver reliable, high-quality software while working on a range of interesting and complex technical challenges. Please only apply if you have Active DV Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance software solutions using C++.
  • Support the full software development lifecycle from design through to deployment.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve software issues.
  • Contribute to software testing, quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.
  • Work with modern development tools and automated delivery processes.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to deliver robust software solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices.
  • Maintain technical documentation where required.

Essential Skills

  • Commercial experience developing software using C++.
  • Experience working within Linux environments.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good understanding of software engineering principles.
  • Experience using version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience with containerisation technologies.
  • Exposure to CI/CD and automated deployment processes.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Experience with front-end web technologies.
  • Experience working within secure or regulated environments.
