Job Overview
St Martins Care are recruiting a Senior Care Assistant for their busy Residential Care Home. You will be an experienced care professional with an understanding of medication management and CQC compliance, and a genuine passion for high‑quality care for older people.
Role‑specific Duties
- Ensure residents are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing.
- Supervise staff and ensure that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service.
- Be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service.

- Develop effective working relationships with colleagues within the service.
- Work in cooperation with members of multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for residents.
- Maintain and develop relationships with residents’ loved ones.

About The Role
Essential Criteria
Qualifications
- Vocational qualification level 3 in Health and Social Care.
- Level 3 Medication qualification.
- Good English (written and verbal).
Skills
- Maintain care plans and care records in accordance with the service’s policy and audit records to ensure compliance.
- Communicate effectively to build rapport with residents and inform colleagues, management and professionals about their needs.
- Apply problem‑solving skills to adapt to and address situations quickly, developing solutions and recognising/reporting situations requiring protection.
- Assist residents with daily tasks following their care plan, including bathing, eating, dressing, grooming and use of the bathroom.
- Supervise staff providing support to residents to accomplish daily tasks.
- Dispense medication following the service’s policies and procedures.
Previous Experience
- Experience working in a similar environment.
