Flexzo Teach connects passionate subject specialists with local primary and secondary settings for daytime short-term, long-term, and permanent roles. We are currently building our local talent pool of expert Maths and Science Tutors in Amersham, Buckinghamshire to meet growing daytime demand.

What you need

  • You must be available during school hours (Monday to Friday) to deliver targeted interventions, catch-up sessions, and daytime tutoring.
  • Strong experience delivering targeted interventions or tutoring across Mathematics and Science (Primary/Secondary level), or holding a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS/QTLS).
  • Proven experience supporting diverse learning needs, including pupils with SEND (e.g., ASD, dyslexia, ADHD) or those requiring targeted catch-up support. All applicants must have prior SEN experience.
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum, primary/secondary assessment frameworks, and the ability to implement tailored lesson plans and track student progress effectively.
  • A valid right to work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to obtain one). You must also be able to commute to Amersham or one of our wider operating areas (London, Surrey, Manchester, or Kent) for your initial interview.
  • A compassionate approach combined with exceptional communication skills suitable for collaborating with young learners, parents, and school staff.

Note on In-Person Interviews: To ensure the highest quality of safeguarding and a genuine connection, all first interviews are conducted in person, even if your ultimate placement features remote elements. You must be able to travel to one of our operating areas for this stage.
