Job Description:

Seeking a Workday SME to support and optimise HR systems globally for a leading alternative investment firm. The role is integral to delivering best‑in‑class experience for employees and managers across international offices.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the day‑to‑day technical expert for Workday HCM, providing reliable support across the business.
  • Ensure a seamless global Workday experience for employees and managers in line with best‑practice configuration.
  • Lead design and delivery of system enhancements and new functionality, producing detailed design documentation and securing stakeholder alignment.
  • Proactively identify system issues and opportunities for improvement, troubleshoot challenges and implement effective solutions, including ad‑hoc configurations when required.
  • Manage end‑to‑end delivery across configuration, testing and deployment of business processes, integrations, reports and new features.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support testing, security requirements and downstream system integrations.
  • Support ongoing system maintenance, participating in bi‑annual Workday releases.
  • Develop and maintain reporting capabilities, including dashboards, to meet evolving business needs.
  • Contribute to creation of training materials and deliver system demonstrations to end users.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ hands‑on experience with Workday HCM, with exposure to Talent, Learning, Absence and Reporting modules preferred.
  • Experience supporting Workday in a global environment.
  • Proactive mindset with strong interest in solving business challenges and optimising end‑to‑end processes through configuration.
  • Sound judgement, high integrity and ability to handle sensitive employee and financial data with confidentiality.
  • Strong commercial awareness and commitment to delivering high‑quality outcomes.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships, navigate sensitive situations and respond constructively to feedback.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence stakeholders and drive process improvements.
