Senior Care Worker

We are looking to appoint a Senior Care Worker to join our team at Florence Shipley Community Care Centre. Working mostly Night Shifts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and support care staff through mentorship and leadership.
• Allocate day‑to‑day tasks within the care team.
• Administer medication and develop personal service plans with an emphasis on person‑centred care.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents.
• Provide senior on‑duty support during night shifts and occasionally cover daytime or afternoon shifts.
• Ensure high‑quality care and support for residents with a range of needs.
• Promote good practice and deliver quality handover at shift change.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Experience in care roles, preferably with leadership experience.
• Willingness to undertake a QCF Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification if appointed.
• Mandatory Disclosure and Barring Service check due to working with children and/or vulnerable adults.
• Availability for unsocial hours, including weekends and Bank Holidays. Saturday and Sunday hours are paid at plain time unless between 7 pm and 7 am, when enhanced rates apply; Bank Holidays are paid at enhanced rates.
• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship (no visa sponsorship offered).
