Mandate

Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Councils are seeking expressions of interest for secondment opportunities to support the Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) Programme. These roles offer a unique opportunity to contribute to a major transformation across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, shaping the future of local services. Successful candidates will be employed by Nottinghamshire County Council as the host employer for the duration of the secondment while working within a collaborative programme environment across partner organisations.

Role Overview

In this pivotal position you will spearhead the development of high‑quality reports and analyses that will guide the transformation of councils across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. You will ensure our digital, data, and technology landscape is coherent, scalable, and ready for the future.

Responsibilities

  • Design strategic enterprise architectures to support Local Government Reorganisation.
  • Govern the target operating model, integrating systems and processes into a unified enterprise.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather insights and feedback.
  • Deliver high‑quality reports and programme deliverables.
  • Support the Digital, Data and Technology (DDAT) programme with your specialist expertise.

Qualifications

  • A degree or professional qualification in a relevant field.
  • Extensive knowledge of enterprise architecture and local government operations.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with current ICT trends and best practices in a local government context.
