Job Description:

To manage mid-scale digital transformation projects at business, organisational and system level, managing the full project lifecycle, from initiation to handover to business as usual. The Senior Project Manager will manage a number of projects concurrently, working closely with the Programme Manager and many other stakeholders from the business and IT to produce accurate and achievable delivery plans, facilitating the setup of projects and managing resources, prioritising and overseeing project activities, preparing and tracking project budgets, exercise good judgement and discretion, escalating to stakeholders when required to enable projects to be successfully implemented.

While this is a full time role, we may be able to consider reduced hours with a minimum of 30 hours per week. Whilst there is a need to be in Portsmouth a few days a week, hybrid working is available for this role.

The interviews are currently anticipated to be held during the week commencing 3 August 2026.

This appointment is a fixed-term contract until 29 February 2028.

Salary Information:

New appointments will routinely be made to the entry spine point (minimum) for the advertised grade, from where the individual will (in addition to receiving annual cost-of-living-related increases) progress through the pay range to the maximum for the grade, within a reasonable timeframe. This ensures fairness, consistency and transparency in our pay structures. A higher starting salary or market supplement may be available for a truly exceptional candidate when circumstances fully justify a departure from our normal policy.
