Salary: £35,000 – 42,000 per year
Requirements:
- 3-5 years experience in a Manual Testing or QA Analyst role
- Strong understanding of software testing principles and best practices
- Experience creating and executing test scenarios from requirements and specifications
- Ability to identify, investigate, and reproduce complex defects
- Experience working across integrated systems rather than purely web-based applications
- Comfortable setting up and managing test data environments
- Experience working with databases and data validation activities
- Understanding of how software, infrastructure, networks, and connected systems interact
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively without relying on rigid test scripts
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Execute manual testing across multiple applications and integrated systems
- Create and maintain comprehensive test scenarios and test cases
- Support the validation of bug fixes and customer-reported issues
- Investigate defects and work closely with development teams to drive resolution
- Set up and manage test data and testing environments
- Perform database validation and data integrity testing
- Contribute to improved testing processes and quality standards
- Support continuous improvement of QA practices across the wider team
- Help embed a stronger quality-first mindset within technical teams
- Ensure changes are thoroughly validated before deployment

The role is based in Hull, with 2-3 days per week on site.
