We are seeking an experienced Operational Manager in the Radiology department. These roles are crucial in providing strategic and operational leadership working closely alongside our clinical teams.
These are key roles, working closely with clinical leads, Nursing Teams, Allied Health Professionals and wider multidisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality, safe, and efficient care for our patients.
We are looking for someone with proven operational management experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, challenging environment.
This post may become Permanent at the end of Fixed Term/Secondment.

Main duties of the job
- Deliver high standards of operational performance across elective and emergency pathways.
- Support service transformation and innovation to meet national standards and local priorities.
- Manage resources effectively, ensuring services are delivered within budget and workforce plans.
- Drive continuous improvement, patient experience, and staff engagement.
- Day‑to‑day line management of administration and clerical functions within the Directorate.

Person Specification
Experience & Knowledge
- Experience of management in the NHS, including operational management, budgetary management and service improvement.
- Experience and knowledge of all activity targets and managing waiting lists.
Education, Qualification and Training
- Graduate/Degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
- Study at Master’s level.
Aptitude & Personal Qualities
- Understanding of the Health and Social care management environment and roles and responsibilities within it.
- Performance management methodology.
- Ability to assimilate & co‑ordinate various agendas prioritising appropriately.
