Weighbridge Operator

Overview

Operate the weighbridge and accurately record the weight and other specified details of vehicles entering and leaving the site. Where appropriate, apply the company’s charges for the acceptance of waste, weighing of vehicles, and sale of materials.

Responsibilities

• Collate detailed and summarised records by inputting information onto the computer and extract statistics on a weekly/monthly basis for the Site Manager.
• Issue instructions to drivers entering and leaving the site to ensure Health and Safety and Operational Procedures are adhered to.
• Respond to telephone and visitor enquiries related to the site services as appropriate.
• Liaise with other weighbridge personnel to maintain weighbridge and reception services during site opening hours.
• Order stock and equipment as required.
• Upload mobile plant information onto the system.
• Complete administrative tasks as part of site operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience within a similar operational manual handling role is preferred.
• Good IT skills.
• Weighbridge experience is desirable.
