Overview

Experienced Maintenance/Industrial Electrician on a short-term contract. Responsible for the reliability and compliance of equipment by carrying out routine maintenance, fault finding, repair, and monitoring & testing.

Responsibilities

  • Equipment reliability and compliance across site; routine servicing, fault finding, repair, monitoring and testing of electrical equipment (also assist with mechanical equipment). Input records to computerised asset management system.
  • Projects and planning: pro-active planning and coordination of maintenance and repair activities; support electrical project work scopes with electrical installations, testing, and handover.
  • Inspections: undertake hazardous area inspections of electrical equipment within hazardous areas; complete remedial works; install, repair and replace ATEX equipment; conduct electrical inspections of fixed electrical systems in non-hazardous areas in accordance with national and company standards.
  • Distillery support: some out-of-hours work required; provide engineering cover on non-production days; Monday – Friday schedule (08:00 – 16:15, with 15:45 finish on Friday).

Profile / Qualifications

  • Recognised qualification in electrical engineering or related field (NVQ Level 3)
  • 18th Edition is a must
  • Experience in maintaining and repairing electrical systems
  • Understanding of PLC systems beneficial
  • COMPEX/ATEX experience beneficial
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and regulations
  • Familiarity with modern electrical systems and diagnostic tools

Location: London site. Type: Short-term contract. Inside IR35 – Competitive Hourly Rate.
