Responsibilities
- Carry out a wide range of building maintenance activities across the estate, including carpentry repairs, minor brickwork, roofing maintenance, patch plastering, pathway and surface repairs, minor building works, external maintenance and general estate upkeep.
- Adopt a practical, multi-skilled approach and take ownership of varied maintenance tasks.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a large estate.
- Engage in roofing inspections and minor roof repairs, patch plastering and general decorating repairs.
- Perform pathway, paving and external surface repairs; investigate and repair building defects.
- Support planned preventative maintenance activities.
- Use CAFM systems to manage and record work. Work closely with contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Participate in the call-out rota with additional earnings.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a trade such as Brickwork, Carpentry, Roofing, General Building, Plastering or Electrical.
- Experience within estates, facilities management, property maintenance or similar environments.
- Multi-skilled approach to building maintenance with the ability to carry out a variety of internal and external tasks.
- Strong understanding of safe working practices and the ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
