The Role
An established Further Education college is seeking a Property Maintenance Operations Lecturer to join its Construction department. This is an exciting opportunity to help launch and deliver a new programme, supporting learners and apprentices as they develop the practical skills, knowledge, and behaviours required for a career in property maintenance. You will deliver engaging practical and theory sessions, support learner achievement, and play a key role in shaping and developing the curriculum from the outset.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality teaching across Property Maintenance Operations programmes
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons and practical workshop activities
- Monitor, track and record learner progress, attendance and achievement
- Provide flexible assessment opportunities and constructive feedback
- Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and learning resources
- Support the development and implementation of new programmes within the curriculum area
- Contribute to curriculum planning, quality improvement and learner success
- Prepare learners for progression into employment, apprenticeships or further study
- Promote safe working practices and professional standards throughout delivery
Qualifications
- Industry experience within Property Maintenance or a relevant construction trade
- Level 3 qualification in a relevant construction discipline
- Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
- Strong practical and theoretical knowledge across maintenance activities
