HGV 2 HIAB Driver

Overview

Driver Hire Motherwell are currently looking to recruit a Class 2 (Cat C) Remote HIAB driver for work with a busy timbers merchant within Hamilton.

Responsibilities

• 0700 to 0800 start
• Carrying out daily routine vehicle checks
• Delivering building materials to smaller and larger sites
• Deliveries can be local and surrounding areas
• There will be some deliveries to residential areas
• Some drops with smaller items may include handball
• Use of HIAB ticket with Grab

Qualifications

• A valid Remote HIAB certificate
• A good local area knowledge
• Good customer service
• A valid CPC card
• Digital tachograph card
• No more than 6 points on your licence*
• The right candidate will ideally have knowledge of the building industry and experience in operating a remote Hiab vehicle.
• * No DD, DR or IN endorsements are accepted for insurance stipulations

Rate of pay

• £16.50 p/h paid via PAYE with holiday accrual
• We can also offer the option of an alternative PAYE model for an enhanced rate of pay with holiday accrual topped up
