Print Field Service Engineer – Gloucester

Express Recruitment is seeking an experienced engineer to deliver on‑site IT support for clients in Gloucester and surrounding areas. The candidate will manage client relationships daily, travel regionally, and provide installation, commissioning, configuration, and repair of a wide range of printers and associated IT hardware.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, service and repair printers from brands such as HP, Lexmark, Canon and Sharp.
• Commission and configure printers and associated IT hardware.
• Strip down, rebuild printer machines and replace broken or obsolete parts.
• Maintain day‑to‑day client interactions, providing updates and support.
• Visit and support customers throughout Gloucester and surrounding areas.
• Act as primary point of contact for customer escalations involving printers, scanners and copiers.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues from discovery to completion.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in commissioning and configuring a wide range of printers.
• Experience with networking protocols, including TCP/IP, printer servers and drive deployment.
• Competent user of print management software.
• Experience connecting and configuring routers, firewalls, and switches.
• Polite and professional manner with a customer‑first focus.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.

Salary & Benefits

Competitive salary of up to c£32,000 per annum (DOE) plus £450 monthly car allowance. Other benefits include hybrid working, fuel card, work mobile phone and laptop, pension scheme, private medical provisions, and more.
