Investment Manager

I’m working on an excellent Investment Manager opportunity with a leading UK wealth management firm in Edinburgh.

This would suit someone who is already qualified and developing well within private client investment management, but who is ready for more ownership, more client exposure and a clearer route to building a meaningful book.

The opportunity:

• Join a well-established Edinburgh investment management team
• Take on genuine client relationship and portfolio responsibility
• Benefit from a strong internal succession plan, with client assets expected to transition due to upcoming retirements
• Work closely with senior Investment Directors and experienced support teams
• Build your own profile across clients, introducers and professional connections
• Progress within a clear career structure, based on performance, client outcomes and commercial impact

The ideal background:

• Experience in private client investment management or wealth management
• Strong client-facing skills, ideally with exposure to HNW private clients
• Good technical investment knowledge and portfolio management experience
• Essential – Level 7 CISI CWM (Level 6 PCAIM will be considered)
• Commercially minded, relationship-led and keen to grow into a more autonomous IM role

This is particularly well suited to someone who has done the hard work of getting qualified but has not yet been given the client ownership or progression they are capable of.
