Overview

Job Title: Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Nursery

Salary Grade: Currently FTE £25,989 Grade 6, SCP 6 (Pro-rata £19,088)

Working Pattern: 32.5 hours per week – 8.30am – 3.30pm Monday – Friday, term time only

Required From: 1st September 2026

Responsibilities

  • Have knowledge and understanding of working with children with SEND.
  • Have excellent communication and interaction skills in order to provide effective support.
  • Attach high expectations to empathy and care.
  • Be calm and supportive.
  • Be able to form strong and professional working relationships with parents and carers, colleagues and other professionals.
  • You must possess a Level 2 qualification or equivalent.

Requirements

Ideal candidates will have the following:

  • Experience of working in primary education.
  • Understanding of working with children with SEND.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
